The bartender in the lounge here is introducing me to other patrons as, "this lady is an artist from Canada, here to celebrate her birthday". Ah, sweet Marta...

Swirly Thing

Rather like this rainbow swirly thing doodle.

About the frame... found these awesome 'black hand' frames, really quite groovy....

Purple People

Was having fun creating these purple people.... one of the first times faces were emerging in my doodles....

Pink Dots That Pop

The string of pink dots in this one seem to really pop for me. That, and those blue spikey things....

I'm waiting for someone to tell me what they see in this one....

I see kidneys in this one. There are actually a few faces in this, but you have to look for them...

Tiny Bubbles

I call this one Tiny Bubbles.

It's like Dean Martin is singing in my ear.... lol...

I refer to this as part of my 'rainbow' series. Not that I was drawing rainbows, but when I'm using lots of colours all lined up together it has a rainbow feel to it.

Happy Purple Wormies

I had a few painful days in December when I was out of my fav purple pen... Then, finally, they were back in stock and I was back in the purple doodle business!

This is actually a bit of a reflection of both how I am integrating faces into my doodles (generally less goofy) and simply my ability to be goofy! These guys are kinda cute, if I say so myself.

Rainbow Dog

I did not see the dog emerge in this doodle until it was about 3/4 done, and it really spoke to me. It is one of the few times I have paid attention to what was emerging and intentionally followed that path.

It needs a name that relfects it's power, I'm reflecting on it...

Just a silly doodle that emerged one day. It now sits in my bathroom and makes me smile in the mornings ;-)

Black and Blue

A couple of doodles from a series I have done using a blue metallic gel pen on black paper. I figured "black and blue" was an appropriate name for the series...

Turning 50

So... I am turning 50 soon, so a couple of doodles as I have contemplated this milestone....

In the first one, look carefully and you will see the "50" that I started the page with. It's one of the few doodles that I have done with intention, and it includes some symbology around looking forward / looking back, connecting with the earth, being grounded, tapping into my creativity and such...

Ringing in the new year

I began this doodle the evening of December 31st.... and finished it the next day. So, thought it an interesting symbol of the transition between years for me.

Reaching for the Stars

Doodled on a rainy afternoon in a little cafe in Montreal. This doodle makes me happy and seems a suitable one to start the new year...
